Snowshoeing at Okemo Valley Nordic CenterSnowshoeing is allowed on Okemo Mountain (lift access is not available) and at the Okemo Valley Nordic Center.

At the Nordic Center, you can enjoy a hike through pristine meadows and hillsides on 13km of dedicated snowshoe trails. A Trail Fee is required. Check out our Snowshoe Trail Network. For more information on the Okemo Valley Nordic Center, visit our Nordic Center page.

Or, take a hike on Okemo Mountain! Take a self-guided trek on Okemo's 5km maintained network of snowshoe trails that trace the periphery of Okemo Mountain on Easier and Intermediate terrain. Snowshoeing is great exercise and you can enjoy it at your own pace. Print out our Okemo Mountain Trail Map and follow the purple dotted lines for your snowshoe hike (or pick up an Okemo trail map when you get here). There is no trail fee to snowshoe on the trails of Okemo Mountain. Although, snowshoers are not allowed on the lifts. Be sure to stay on the side of the trail at all times and avoid snowshoeing alone.

Equipment

Atlas Snowshoes rentals are available for half-day, full-day and multi-day at the Okemo Valley Nordic Shop. Visit the Nordic Rates page for details.

It's fun when they have races on Chief because we can watch everybody race down the mountain and instead of just sitting there on the chairlift.
